How To Access Your Playbook

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS


Step 1: Check Your Email

After completing your purchase, you’ll receive (2) separate emails:

  • 1st Email: An order confirmation from Level Up Development

  • 2nd Email: Download Instructions from EditionGuard


Step 2: Open the Download Instructions Email

Once you open the download instructions email you will find step-by-step instructions and clickable links. Below are the same instructions with more details and information to help you have the best experience possible.


Step 3: Create Your Free Adobe Account

  • Sign in to Adobe using your Adobe ID, or create a free Adobe ID here.

    • You will need an Adobe ID regardless of what software you use to access the guide in the next step.

    • Make sure you use an Adobe ID that you're ok with being connected to this file/account. Any issues with accessing this file or your Adobe account would require support from Adobe after this point. 


Step 4: Install Your Preferred Software

You will need to download and install any of the readers below to read the ebook. Install your preferred software for your device (all three of the options below are compatible for accessing the guide):


  1. PocketBook | Learn More

    • Highly recommend for viewing on the phone or tablet

  2. Adobe Digital Editions | Learn More

    • Highly recommend for viewing on laptop or desktop 

  3. Blue Fire Reader | Learn More

    • Application requires payment/fees.


Step 5: Sign Into The Platform You Select

Open the software you chose in Step 4 and sign in with your Adobe ID (from Step 3).


Step 6: Download The File

Click the download link provided in the Download Instructions email (Step 1). This link is unique to your order and will allow you to download your PDF file.


By this point, you would have completed the previous steps and can skip straight to downing the file via the download button.


  • On Desktop:

    • Open the software.

    • Drag and drop the downloaded PDF file into the platform library, or use the “File > Add to Library” option.

      • You may be able to select the file and "open with" the software of your choice as well.


  • On Mobile Devices:

    • Open the Adobe Digital Editions app.

    • Tap the “+” or “Import” icon and navigate to the location where you saved the PDF file. Select the file to import it into your library.

    • You may be able to select the file and "open with" the software of your choice as well.


Step 7: Start Reading

Once the file is imported into your library, simply click on the cover/thumbnail image to open and read your digital guide. This file is protected, so you won’t be able to copy or print the content.


Additional Tips:


  • Keep The Software Installed: To re-read your guide in the future, simply open the software and locate the guide in your library. The file will remain in your library until you remove it.

  • If you want to switch software, repeat the steps from above using the same Adobe ID.


SOFTWARE TIPS


PocketBook

These instructions were made for use on mobile device, however it works the same for desktop/laptop computers:


  1. Open the app from your mobile device.


  1. From the home screen navigate to your setting (bottom right)

  1. Make sure your Interface settings reflect "night mode" is set for mannual so your guide displays in full-color automatically:

  1. If you have downloaded and added your playbook to your library, navigate have to the "home" screen and click on the playback from your dashboard:


  1. Once you open the playbook, tap the area RIGHT BELOW the playbook (in green in the image below) to display the Display Settings:


*For desktop/laptop, press the sapce bar on your keyboard*

  1. Once the display settings come up, tap on "Appearance."

  1. Make sure the first option theme option is selected (see image below)


  1. Next, scroll down to make sure the "orientation lock" is turned off (unless you prefer for it to be enabled):
